Billionaires support Palmer bid

The head of the peak billionaires lobby group, Fair Go for Billionaires, has endorsed Clive Palmer’s bid for parliament and offered his services as Campaign Manager.

“Clive and I go way back,” said Allan Billison, “we have so many shared values: avoiding tax, a love of buying yachts… but mostly just avoiding taxes.”

Billison said that as campaign manager, he “would not accept donations from the CIA or any other left-affiliated organisations.”

“It’s also a brilliant move because it streamlines the process between the Liberal Party and the party’s biggest donor. Instead of writing Liberal Party policy from behind the scenes, Palmer will now just be the Liberal Party. It’s so much more efficient.”

“Treasurer Wayne Swan reckons that Palmer’s bid means the Liberal Party has become a “wholly owned subsidiary of Clive Palmer”,” said Mr Billison.

“This is ridiculous. Gina Reinhart and Twiggy Forrest also own sizeable chunks.”

He called on other billionaires to join Palmer. “Gina Reinhart should run for Senate. Perhaps she could be on the Family First ticket.”

Mr Billison said he supports Palmer’s long-term plans for the Liberal Party. “I fully support Palmer’s plans to sell the Liberal Party to China. Especially because if he does it after the Mining Tax is repealed, it’ll be tax-free!”

Mr Billison has called on Mr Palmer to sit down with Fair Go for Billionaires in the coming days to map out the campaign slogans. The current front runner is “I OWN YOU”.

In the light of Wayne Swan’s senseless attack on mining billionaires, Allan Billison, head of Fair Go for Billionaires, went to Canberra to give Mr Swan a piece of his mind.
